The deed has been done. The bill has been passed. The people have spoken, and been ignored. 
As Speaker Pelosi put it we must pass this legislation so we can see what is in it. So lets see what we have found after two weeks.
Let’s look at the Aftermath of ObamaKare:
Just two weeks after the signing of the bill a litany of companies across the country have sounded off about the effects of the Health SCARE bill. It’s not pretty.
The bill takes away tax write offs given to companies who continue to fund select parts of their health care after retirement. This is a very costly expense that these corporations feel they must continue to fund in many cases out of loyalty to there retirees. The numbers are staggering.
- AT&T - $1 billion
- Boeing - $150 million
- Caterpillar - $100 million
- Deere & Co. - $90 million
- 3M - $90 million
- Verizon - $50 million
- Valero - $20 million
When confronted with this information Illinois Democrat Anthony Weiner was unsympathetic claiming that the repeal of the write off is not of consequence because the companies shouldn’t have to get a tax break to cover such expenses for their retirees.
Well Mr. Weiner that is your opinion but one thing that is an indisputable fact is that the added expenses of this Liberal Holy Grail will be passed on to the consumer in some way. This is how business works it is a fact that their expenses become our expenses (Just like Congresses).
Thanks Senator Weiner you really live up to your name.
Congressman Henry Waxman, (D) California, now wants the CEOs of the aforementioned companies to appear in Congress to testify to the validity of their statements. Proof that speaking out against the Presidents plans will land you in a modern day Spanish Inquisition. Waxman will wish the idea never entered his thick little head after all is said and done. These CEOs and business execs are bound by law to disclose this information to the SEC making it public knowledge. To neglect to do so would land them in prison. They will clearly have the data to support their claims and leave Waxman and his “Oboss” looking like idiots. Thanks for helping to get the truth out Henry.
Just two weeks later: Once again the Washingtards trample the 10th amendment with the passage of this scourging of our economy. 15 states, including Indiana, Florida, Texas and Pennsylvania, are suing the Government over the Constitutionality of the health care bill. A total of 36 states are taking legal action of some form to resist the government take over. The uproar caused largely by the Government plan to force the American people to buy a specific product that must be approved by the government.
Just two weeks later: There is now an open door for the federal funding of abortions. Of course this is looked upon as a triumphant victory by the likes of Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D) of Michigan.
Just two weeks later: The federal government has a need for 16,000 new IRS agents to enforce the unconstitutional, 10th amendment trampling, scourging of our rights to privacy as American citizens. Our medical records are going to be widely accessible by numerous government agencies in their efforts to determine your health care status.
Just two weeks later: Senator Tom Carper (D) Delaware clearly still has not read the bill he voted for. He insisted on, and got called out on, the statement that all members of Congress and White House Administration staffs will be bound to participate in the Health SCARE plan that Congress hid like a bitter pill in an apple so all of us mules would swallow it unknowingly.

It didn’t work Varney & Company got to the bottom of it. Turns out that Republicans tried to push through an amendment in the Senate that WOULD require exactly that and the Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid tabled the amendment before it could be voted on. In fact this was done with EVERY Republican amendment offered when the Senate “fix it” bill was being voted on. So I ask you, now who’s the party of NO?
Two weeks later: Democrats now face threats of physical violence over health care vote. I don’t condone violence but these threats should send message to those who voted against the will of the people.
Two weeks later: The Medicus Firm a medical recruitment company, shows in their survey that over 45% of physicians said they’d quit or retire if ObamaKare were to pass. How do we cover 30 million new patients with only half the doctors? I’m glad this plan was so well thought out. Two weeks later: The student loans have been taken away from the private sector and now will be controlled completely by the federal government, save North Dakota, what is now being called the Bismarck Bank Job, is nothing more than another bribed vote. Surely Rep. Earl Pomeroy, and Sen. Kent Conrad. Had one of those back room meetings to work this one out. Marry Landrieu’s’ Louisiana Purchase has nothing on these to guys when it comes to getting the most out of your vote. What exactly does the student loans program have to do with the HealthSCARE plan? Well think about it they have to pay for it some how. Go explain to Berkley students why their student loan rates are going up and see if they burn some more houses down.
Two weeks later: Speaker Pelosi still claims that the HealthSCARE bill was crafted with full transparency. Apparently she was busy flying around on her private jet while all of the back room deals were being made. Though some of them were rescinded in the aftermath of outrage and anger, that doesn’t change the fact that the deals were made and added to the bill. The list of back room deals is long:
- The Louisiana Purchase
- The Cornhusker Kickback
- Gatoraid
- The U-Conn
- The Bismarck Bank Job
Did I miss any?
Two week later: I would venture to guess that Democrats don’t sleep well at night. They own this mess. Not a single Republican voted for it. Not a single Republican accepts it. This one can not be blamed on Bush or 8 years of bad policy. Vice President Joe Biden said that Obama’s presidency would be finished if they failed to push through the HealthSCARE bill. This recap of corruption and out right stupidity just scratches the surface of what is yet to be a revealed of a 2400 + page bill that no one attempted to read before voting for it. Now that the deed is done Obama’s presidency may be finished.
The Washingtards have mandated that Health Care is a right. What other new rights will they mandate next?
The right to Child Care?
The right to Housing?
The right to higher education?
