Tea Party Traitors and Racism

Don’t let the title fool you; it’s really the liberal left that are the traitors here. It seems now that it’s not just the redneck racist White people that are evil. Now minorities that disagree with them are evil too.

ALBANY, N.Y. – They’ve been called Oreos, traitors and Uncle Toms, and are used to having to defend their values. Now black conservatives are really taking heat for their involvement in the mostly white tea party movement — and for having the audacity to oppose the policies of the nation’s first black president.

“I’ve been told I hate myself. I’ve been called an Uncle Tom. I’ve been told I’m a spook at the door,” said Timothy F. Johnson, chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a group of black conservatives who support free market principles and limited government.

But who exactly is it saying these things? Opponents to the Tea Party Movement thats who. In other words Liberal Democrats. You know the same people who refer to the white Tea Party patrons as Racists, Rednecks, Tea Baggers, Right-wing Domestic Terrorists…… this could become a long list so I will stop there. So if your a white tea partier, your a racist or some other name they dreamed up. If your a black tea partier your a traitor or an UncleTom, or a Spook at the Door (I’m not even sure what that means!) Sounds to me like they simply don’t like the Tea Party Movement.

You see race baiting hasn’t worked very well lately so now Liberals are mutating the concept and using it on the minority group itself. This tactic is far worse than calling a white man racist. They are now accusing black conservatives of being traitors to their own race. So isn’t it true that Liberals are the real racists here? They are widening the divide with these divisive statements of racism and now racism in reverse.

Angela McGlowan who is running for  the Misssissippi 1st Congressional District seat believes the tea party movement has been unfairly portrayed as monolithically white, male and middle-aged, though she acknowledged blacks and Hispanics are a minority at most events.

Of course they are minorities at these events, look at how they are treated by their peers if they show up and express their opinions at a Tea Party. They are called names and ridiculed.

Liberals claim that some of the black members of Congress were spat upon and called the “N” word; they have absolutely no proof that any one said that word. We are just supposed to take their word for it. The same way we are supposed to take their word for it that they read the HealthSCARE bill before voting on it and that they abide by the Constitution. The fact is that Andrew Breitbart, from Big Government.com has pledged $100,000 to anyone who can produce genuine proof of the use of the “N” word - Audio video or otherwise - and no one has come forward to claim the prize money yet. Doesn’t that seem odd to you? Unless of course its all a lie.

In fact it is my understanding that many black and hispanic tea partiers have not only been the victims of racial slurs from the left but also they have been spat upon by liberals as well. OK maybe I can’t really prove that happened but liberals can’t prove it didn’t happen. Now we can see how absurd the accusations are that all tea partiers are racists can’t we.

Members of Congress have an underground tunnel they can use to enter the Capitol Building through to avoid public ridicule and possible threats. They planned to walk into the belly of the beast in plain site expecting to find a throng of protesters that they could accuse of racism and other evils.

The real “traitors” in all of this are the name callers themselves. Minority tea partiers are not traitors to their race. They see themselves as Americans first and African-Americans second.  We are all living in the same country under the same government and as the Washingtards put it “political descent is the highest form of patriotism.” The Tea partiers are patriots the real traitors here are those who lie, ridicule, and admonish those who disagree with an out of control government.

It has always been my opinion that the biggest racists are the those who seek it around every corner and find it where it doesn’t exist. Those who are the first to point out the differences in ethnicity. Those who are the first to notice the skin color. I reject the terms African-American and Hispanic-American. I reject the term Irish-American or Asian-American. Are white people supposed to call themselves European-Americans? We are all Americans first and foremost. That is the only distinction that matters in this country were all men are created equal. It is those who segregate us into ethnic groups that are the real traitors; traitors to the most basic American value that all men are created equal. We as Americans shouldn’t even recognize these ethnic groups. It is unfortunate that our own government is a perpetrator of this backward thought process. The 2010 Census asked me if I was Black White Hispanic Asian etc. Why do they even care?

It’s a Cracked World when The President of the United States allows such rhetoric to continue without speaking out against such an abomination of basic American values.

Republicans Chide House Rep. Charles Rangel

Today House Republicans sent a message to Rep. Charlie Rangel a Democrat from New York. Essentially stating they want you out. It appears that the 40 year veteran of Congress, and longtime chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee can’t manage to abide by the very laws he helps to write.

Today House Republicans tried to pass a resolution to remove Congressman Rangel from his chairmanship following a long dingy laundry list of wrongdoing. Of course House Democrats quickly put down the effort to remove the embattled congressman in a brazen show of partisanship and zero regard for the taxpayers who vote them into office.

So much for transparency huh Speaker Pelosi! What happened to draining the swamp? What happened to the most open and ethical Congress in history? Just check with The Moderate Voice for Nazi Pelosi’s standing on the issue.

Charles Rangel - Chairman of House Ways and Theives Committee

It’s not difficult to see why Rangel doesn’t want to lose his position as chairman of the House ways of THIEVES Committee. Quite obviously it lends itself well to tax evasion, and other forms of fraud.

Why other House Democrats aren’t trying to distance themselves from the congressman is beyond me when you consider their reaction inside the halls of Congress to the recently unveiled scandal of ACORN. Speaking of which, I’m sure by now Congressman Rangel has informed all of his staffers and aides not to speak with any pimps prostitutes or other nefarious looking characters.

Charlie Rangel is serving the House of Representatives for 40 years, here is a list of things he will undoubtedly be remembered for the most:

  • A failure to report $3 million in business transactions from 2002 to 2006.
  • A failure to disclose $1.3 million in outside income from 2002 to 2006.
  • The undervaluing of his assets by $780,000 in 2007.
  • The refusal to reveal a bank account valued at $500,000.
  • The refusal to list the sale of a Harlem brownstone in 2004.

I must say that’s not what I want to go down in history for after 40 years of public service.

To add insult to injury Foxnews recently reported:

In June 2009, the House Ethics Subcommittee opened a probe of Rangel’s trips to conferences in the Caribbean, and in August Rangel disclosed more than $500,000 in previously unreported assets.

“These are glaring tax violations and he has paid no penalties or interest,” said John Stone, a spokesman for Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, who is leading the effort to oust Rangel from his post.

For a much deeper analysis Michelle Malkin has the skinny.

Congressman Rangel has screwed the citizens of New York so badly for so long they need their own support group. They need a special place in prison for people like him. I like to think Hell already has one.

What can I say it’s got Cracked World when lawmakers help lawmakers break the law.

Cap and Trade Not Good for America?

Uncategorized | Posted by C.C.Mitchell

After all the out of control spending the Obama Administration has engaged in supposedly to stimulate the economy it seems that he is contradicting his own efforts. His cap and trade program is designed to reduce carbon emissions from the production processes of factories in the United States. It could prove to have negative effects on the progress of economic recovery.

In short Cap-and-trade is a concept where the Government will issue an allowance or Cap of Carbon Credits, which is Al Gore speak for the right to burn carbon, the businesses of America would be charged for the amount of Carbon Credits they project to burn (no pun intended); once a factory uses all its Carbon Credits it would have to buy or trade for more credits to continue doing business or be taxed horrendously for exceeding its Carbon Credit limit. The total amount of Carbon Credits available to be bought  sold or burned is not to exceed the Cap or allowance put forth by the Federal Government, therefore “Capping” the amount of carbon emissions the nation can produce annually.

Thus, in theory, those that can easily reduce emissions will, and this is supposed to achieving the pollution reduction at the lowest cost to the American consumer.

Not so fast says Mike Pence, a Republican Rep. from Indiana, his theory says it will “cost” the American consumer.

“I think, rightly understood, the cap-and-trade legislation represents an economic declaration of war on the Midwest by liberals in Washington.”

Pence says a proposal by congressional Democrats to regulate gases blamed for global warming could cost the average American household more than $3,000 a year in higher energy costs.

Indystar.com

Politicians, particularly from the left, like Cap and Trade because they can claim to tax only the big polluters. In reality, once the government turns pollution into a commodity to be bought and traded, and then requires businesses to purchase this commodity the cost  incurred from  these purchases will be passed on to the consumer (that’s you and me).

From the Wall Street Journal:

Hit hardest would be the “95% of working families” Mr. Obama keeps mentioning, usually omitting that his no-new-taxes pledge comes with the caveat “unless you use energy.” Putting a price on carbon is regressive by definition because poor and middle-income households spend more of their paychecks on things like gas to drive to work, groceries or home heating.

The Congressional Budget Office  estimates that the price hikes from a 15% cut in emissions would cost the average household in the bottom-income quintile about 3.3% of its after-tax income every year. That’s about $680, not including the costs of reduced employment and output. The three middle quintiles would see their paychecks cut between $880 and $1,500, or 2.9% to 2.7% of income. The rich would pay 1.7%. Cap and trade is the ideal policy for every Beltway analyst who thinks the tax code is too progressive (all five of them).

But the greatest inequities are geographic and would be imposed on the parts of the U.S. that rely most on manufacturing or fossil fuels — particularly coal, which generates most power in the Midwest, Southern and Plains states. It’s no coincidence that the liberals most invested in cap and trade — Barbara Boxer, Henry Waxman, Ed Markey — come from California or the Northeast.

Coal provides more than half of U.S. electricity, and 25 states get more than 50% of their electricity from conventional coal-fired generation. In Ohio, it totals 86%, according to the Energy Information Administration. Ratepayers in Indiana (94%), Missouri (85%), New Mexico (80%), Pennsylvania (56%), West Virginia (98%) and Wyoming (95%) are going to get soaked.

Lessons to be learned from European Cap and Trade

BusinessWeek has a break down of the Euro-experiment with these concepts of recent years. They are less than encouraging, as is the case with most of Europe’s  socialistic programs. Here is a snippet of their take on the pitfalls Europe has encountered with Cap and Trade.

Companies are granted a certain number of carbon units (the “cap”) that they can sell on the open market if their CO2 output falls below its assigned level or buy as needed to offset output above the limit.

Problem is, the price of carbon credits in Europe has plummeted by two-thirds since July 2008 because of tumbling commodity prices and contracting industrial output. The more it costs to offset CO2 production, the greater incentive companies have to switch to more environmentally friendly technologies. Yet analysts reckon the current price of less than €10 ($13) per metric ton of CO2, compared with la

st summer’s highs of €30 ($38), just doesn’t provide enough economic impetus to go green. In other words, it’s cheaper to pollute.

“The carbon price volatility has hurt long-term investment in renewables,” says Colette Lewiner, global energy, utilities, and chemicals leader at consultancy Capgemini (CAPP.PA). “When the price is so low, it plays no role in investment decisions concerning lower CO2-generating power plants.”
Reverting to Coal

The steep fall in the price of carbon credits is sending ripples through European industry and power companies. According to New Carbon Finance analyst Olivier Lejeune, last year’s record carbon price led many of Europe’s utilities-which constitute the largest sector covered under the ETS-to switch from highly polluting coal-fired plants to more efficient natural gas facilities. But after emissions costs began to fall, energy companies reverted to coal because it was more economic to buy cheap carbon credits in the market than continue using more environmentally friendly natural gas. “Recently, the use of coal has massively intensified,” Lejeune says.

Other Possible Pitfalls of Cap and Trade

This plan won’t do anything to make Earth more “green,” all it will do is hamstring our economy. Other nations in the world won’t adopt an emissions reduction plan of any kind because they simply don’t care about it. Countries like Russia, India, Brazil, and North Korea will pollute as much as they want. That will drive industry out of America and into countries without emissions taxes.

It will soon become cheaper to buy energy from Mexico than produce it here.

My take on government in general is that if you give them an inch they will take a mile. The Federal Government doesn’t know where to draw the line; they never have.

So where will this stop?

Use your imagination, maybe cap and trade on the number of cigarettes and cigars you are allowed to smoke in a year?

Maybe you’ll be carbon taxed by the mileage on your car based on whats under the hood.

And of course lets not forget their spending budgets are limited by the amount of Tax revenues they take in too and look how that little scheme works; they spend money they don’t have anyway so what happens when they decide they don’t have enough? Will they just raise the limit?

Its a Cracked World and this is just one more reason why.
