Nancy Pelosi Called Out by CIA

The Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi continues to find herself in hot water over her decrial of the treatment of detained enemy combatants in Guantanamo Bay Cuba(Gitmo).  It is now evident that Speaker Pelosi knew full well what treatment conditions were at Gitmo.

Nancy Pelosi tried to cash in politically by speaking out about the use of water boarding and other so called forms

of torture on terrorist locked up in Gitmo while trying to crank up some anti-republican sentiment at the same time. When asked why she allowed it to continue, being on the House Intelligence Committee which deals with these issues, she had the power to put down the CIA in its attempts to glean new information from terrorists held captive in Gitmo, she responded by saying that she was lied to by the CIA about  Waterboarding. Claiming she never knew it was being used.

This is a lie according to CIA:

An unclassified chart released last month by the CIA describes a total of 40 briefings for lawmakers over a period of several years on enhanced interrogation techniques. Pelosi’s name appears once, as having attended a session on Sept. 4, 2002, when she was the senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee. Former Rep. Porter Goss, R-Fla., who at the time was the chairman of the committee and later became CIA director, also was present.

As Speaker Pelosi attempted to back away from responsibility and knowledge of the CIAs tactics she accused the Central Intelligence Agency of lying about the briefings.

“Yes I am saying the CIA was misleading the Congress”

Today House Minority Leader John Boehner called out The Speaker of the House saying she needs to put up or shut up.  Boehner thinks Pelosi should present either evidence of a deception or an apology.

“Lying to Congress is a crime. Purposely misleading Congress is a crime. And if the speaker is accusing the intelligence community of lying to her or purposefully misleading her, then she ought to present that evidence, turn it over to the Justice Department, have them prosecute it.”

She has yet to produce evidence that she was lied too. Yet the CIA has released several statements dismissing the allegations. A good deal of the tell tail documents concerning this topic that would prove to be the smoking gun are classified, Pelosi is counting on these documents never coming to light. She has changed her story numerous times concerning her knowledge of water boarding and other “Enhanced Interrogation Techniques”. Originally she knew nothing, that story has evolved into knowing a little bit.

In my opinion

First off:

The Speakers’ story doesn’t add up. Why would the CIA lie about their methods when The Bush Administration told them it was legal and within the standards of treatment? They had no reason to deceive any one.

CIA Director Leon Panetta , a former Democratic lawmaker from Pelosi’s home state of California, said records from the period “indicate that CIA officers briefed truthfully on the interrogation of (terrorist suspect) Abu Zubaydah, describing `the enhanced techniques that had been employed.’”

Many of her own colleagues and Democrat partners are backing away from her statements and some, as stated above, are even siding against her.

I think she’s a liar and a traitor and I know I’m not the only one.

Secondly:

I don’t have a problem with waterboarding. Any means necessary, that’s what we should employ to gain intelligence from these scum of the earth murderers. Nothing should be off limits. We should also let their fellow killers back home know what will happen to them if they mess with us.

I am not convinced that these tactics, or any others for that matter, are too harsh to be used on people who would gladly die to kill us anyway. They are all martyrs are they not?

What I would consider too harsh is crashing an airliner into a building they are trapped in and letting them die under a heap of rubble and burning jet fuel— Oh wait! Thats what they did to us. Remember? 19 Hijackers were hailed as heroes in their home lands for murdering 3000 people.

In short I don’t give a damn about what happens to any of these murderous thugs. Let them out of Gitmo, but let them out in the middle of the ocean in shark infested waters and let them swim for it, just don’t forget to chum the waters first.

How does Waterboarding sound now?

Its a Cracked World when we cannot trust our own government figures to put America ahead of their own self interests.

Can Mexican Wall Protect Against Drug Wars?

Immigration, National Security, Politics | Posted by C.C.Mitchell
Mar 26 2009

In recent days the dangers of Mexican drug cartels have been spotlighted in the media as well as what should be done about them. While Mexican drugs are smuggled into the United States, large volumes of cash and weaponry are being smuggled in to Mexico.

When asked if the President would be willing to commit to putting National Guard Troops on the U.S.-Mexican border, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said, “The president has committed to reviewing those requests, I don’t know of a timeline of a recommendation or a decision on that, but I know that he will certainly take their (request) under advisement.”

“Committed to reviewing”? He decided in less than two months to spend more money than all the other

presidents in the history of the United States of America combined. Why is it so difficult to put The National Guard on the Mexican Border? These drug smugglers are armed to the teeth; assault rifles, machine guns, flack jackets.

The two deadliest drug cartels in Mexico field around 100,000 of what could only be described as foot soldiers.

The danger keeps growing; The Washington Times puts it in perspective.

The death toll dwarfs that in Afghanistan, where about 200 fatalities, including 29 U.S. troops, were reported in the first two months of 2009. About 400 people, including 31 U.S. military personnel, died in Iraq during the same period.

“Some recent Mexican army and police confrontations with drug cartels have resembled small-unit combat, with cartels employing automatic weapons and grenades,”

Building The Great Wall of Mexico

This is enough to convince me, in addition to more National Guard troops I think we should build the Great Wall of Mexico. Not just a fence, but a Wall, a wall from the Texas Gulf Coast to the Pacific shores of California. A structure to rival The Great Wall of China.

This would not only keep out illegal immigrants that our economy can no longer support, but it would eliminate drug and weapons smuggling, it would also separate the American populous from a literal war zone. And prevent Weapons and cash from being smuggled into Mexico from The United States which is a tangible and growing problem

This wall could be patrolled with armed border soldiers and modern sensory equipment, a new military base should be established on the wall by which surveillance aircraft like the (predator drone) could be launched  to patrol the border.

President Obama said that he intends to help stimulate the economy with millions of new construction jobs, this project would help create some of those jobs. Through out the Great Depression our government initiated some of the largest construction project in history such as The Empire State Building, and Hoover Damn.

Weapons Seized at the Mexican Border

Weapons Seized at the Mexican Border

The National Guard would beef up the border patrol while construction is in progress. The weapons confiscated at the border from gun runners and drug smugglers could probably equip all of our border troops. We have already seized massive weapons caches, these troops could get these weapons out of the hands murderous drug smugglers that could otherwise be used on innocent civilians.

How many jobs would this undertaking create? Consider the National Guardsman in this as well as the construction workers.

This would be much more constructive (no pun intended) than Hillary Clinton apologizing for our role in the escalation of the drug trade.

So far President Obama has yet to offer any specifics of his plans to control the Mexican border drug trade. All the while knowing that Congress has already passed a bill to build the fence in 2006. As explained by Opposing views this project was for a 700 mile long fence, not long enough to span the entire distance. They also have not yet funded this program in a congressional budget. Why hasn’t President Obama funded this? He’s funded everything else.

President Obama is in such a frenzy to advance his liberal agenda but he won’t protect citizens from harm spilling over from the Mexican Drug Wars.

Iranian Nuclear Threat is Real

National Security | Posted by C.C.Mitchell
Mar 04 2009

Iran now has enough fissile material to build a Nuclear bomb, according to Adm. Mike Mullen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Mullens’ reference was to low-enriched uranium, not sufficient for building nuclear weapons with but is very easily upgraded to weapons grade uranium. It is believed that Iran currently has at least one metric ton of low-enriched uranium.

Iran is Building Nukes

Iran has now reached breakout capability, that is they are in a position to renege on the NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty), an act that could lead to war, and throw out inspectors. The IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), has stated that Iran could have Nuclear weapons within one to two years. Perhaps Iran sees the capability of the production of nuclear missiles as a self-defense mechanism they could use to thwart their adversaries; this is the view point of IAEA Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei.

I myself wouldn’t trust Mohamed ElBaradei. He is of middle-eastern origin and has many ties and loyalties in that part of the world to cloud his objectivity.

The Israelis are worried that the window of opportunity for a military strike is closing. The Iranians are

S-300 Surface-to-Air Missiles

S-300 Surface-to-Air Missiles

awaiting the delivery of about 30 Russian made S-300 Surface-to-Air Missile systems reportedly worth $700 million that were contracted out in 2005. The implementation of these missile systems will make the potential success of a military air strike far less certain. This transaction is likely to trigger an Israeli action, time is of the essence the opportunity for diplomacy is running thin. President Obama is trying to work out a deal with the Russians, promising to scrap U.S. plans for an eastern European missile defense shield in exchange for pulling the plug on the S-300 sale to Iran.

You may remember two or three years ago the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said they would wipe Israel off the face of the earth. Needless to say a nuclear armed Iran does not appeal to the Israelis or many other neighbors in the middle-east who fear being caught in the middle of a war between Iran and Israel.

To make matters worse the Iranians are sitting on large stockpiles of fissile materials such as Yellow Cake and raw uranium ore. This makes it difficult to prevent Iran from attaining needed materials for for nuclear weapons. Enough fissile materials, according to Foxnews, to potentially produce as many as 50 warheads.

Eugene Habiger, a retried four-star general and former commander in chief of the U.S. Strategic Command, and Nancy Soderberg, a former ambassador to the U.N. and National Security Council staffer during the Clinton administration, think it is still possible for the United States to persuade Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons with the help of Russia, China and Persian Gulf allies. This seems highly unlikely since Russia is selling Iran the missile systems for $700 million and many of the Persian Gulf nations fear retribution for standing against Iran who has openly funded and supplied terror organizations Hamas and Hezbollah.

In the past Iran has been difficult at best to negotiate with. Just ask Jimmy Carter. I’m sure most of us are aware of the 52 American hostages they held without reason for a protracted period back in the 1970s in which a failed rescue attempt killed several U.S. service men. This is going to call for serious measures if we are to keep the Iranians from procuring nuclear weapons.

That being said; How can Islamo-fascist fanatics from obtaining weapons WMDs?
