Nancy Pelosi Supports the Immigration Double Standard

The Mexican immigration laws create a glaring double standard in the treatment they give their immigrants versus the treatment they demand from us when they immigrate to the United States. They don’t treat their immigrants with any respect. If you immigrate to Mexico you will be a second class citizen even if you immigrate there legally.

After a comment on my previous entry called Nancy Pelosi and her Un-American Speech to Illegal Aliens I felt compelled to write a follow-up entry to the response I received from some one who calls himself John Druley. John ended his comment with a suggestion that Nancy Pelosi “move to Mexico and see how far she gets.”

I began to wonder exactly what it would be like.  I knew that it wasn’t the gravy deal that they get when they

sneak into The United States but hadn’t seen a lot of statistics on the subject.

So here are a few facts I dug up about immigration and Mexico:

  1. U.S. citizens are not allowed to own property within 50 kilometers of either coast line.
  2. Those not of Mexican decent are NOT allowed to become citizens of Mexico with out first denouncing their United States Citizenship.
  3. Those unable to become legal citizens of Mexico are not allowed to vote in Mexico.
  4. Immigrants from the United States can be abruptly deported for any reason (with out a hearing).

These Mexican laws were found here the writings are rather long winded but plain enough, see for yourself if you like.

None of these restrictions and or conditions can be found in The United States’ immigration process. In fact in regard to number 3, there have been movements from the left like Pelosi who want to allow these illegal immigrants to vote in U.S. elections even though they are not legal citizens. As for item number 4, Mexico can deport an immigrant for any reason almost immediately. But when ICE, raids a work site or “kicks in a door in the dark of night, as Speaker Pelosi put it, the Alien in question DOES get a hearing before being deported and are often released in good faith. Many of these people never appear in court for their hearing they just disappear into the population and continue to dwell within our borders illegally.

In fact one of these illegal aliens became quite popular last fall during our most recent election cycle. Barack Obama’s illegal alien aunti Zeituni Onyango (who still remains on the loose after years of evading her deportation order): Onyango, of course, could not be reached for comment. Of course despite of the double standard Mexico has imposed on others they their trespassing citizens still enjoy the red-carpet entitlements; They are eligible for public education, public housing, medical care in any hospital, scholarships and other entitlements like food stamps.

I think either the Madam Speaker didn’t do her home work or just doesn’t care about us Americans as much as she does illegal aliens who might actually vote for her with the help of ACORN and the ACLU they will all be able to vote in the next election I expect.

I would advise Speaker Pelosi to be careful on this endeaveur becasue their are more Natural Born American Citizens than there are immigrants, and lots of us are getting really upset with her and those that share her view point on these kinds of issues.

The fact that people like her get elected and re-elected is a testament to the Cracked World we live in.

Nancy Pelosi and her Un-American Speech to Illegal Aliens

On March 14th, Nancey Pelosi spoke in front of a group of immigrants both legal and illegal. The House Speaker told the crowd that ICE agents performing raids on the homes of illegal aliens was un-american.  According to the Speaker of the House of Representatives; voted into office by Americans that the enforcement of American laws passed by our Congress and signed into law by presidents elected by Americans is un-american.

In her visit to St. Anthony’s Church, in San Francisco, on Saturday she addressed her audience and said:

“You are special people. You’re here on a Saturday night to take responsibility for our country’s future. That makes you very, very patriotic.”

Very Very Patriotic!?!?

If they’re so patriotic why don’t they become citizens of this great country?

  • They don’t abide by our laws
  • They don’t, or won’t speak the English language
  • They won’t assimilate themselves to our society
  • They don’t pay taxes
  • They don’t serve in our military and protect our country

They broke our laws just by entering our country when they did so illegally. This is against the law, illegal aliens want to live in our country but bring their country of origin with them and practice their home land customs here. OK fine go ahead but you also must embrace American customs as well. Speaking English is a start. How can you be a part of this great society when no one can understand you and you can’t understand any one else? I’m not saying they’re cowards but they can’t be found so unless they volunteer they don’t join the military.

They don’t pay the taxes that American citizens do.  Vice President Biden once said that paying taxes was patriotic; so if they’re so patriotic why aren’t they paying taxes?

A Foxnews report went on about the Un-American speech:

“Who in this country would not want to change a policy of kicking in doors in the middle of the night and sending a parent away from their families?”

“It must be stopped….What value system is that? I think it’s un-American. I think it’s un-American.”

I am assuming she repeated that because her audience doesn’t speak English very well.

“We think that families are the cornerstone of our society and our nation, and an immigration system should preserve those families, not destroy them,”

She had to take her shots at ICE activities on work site enforcement and the rant continued: “We have to have a change in policy and practice and again … I can’t say enough, the raids must end. The raids must end. Again repeating herself to her audience, I guess to make sure they understood her.

This is not the only time that Speaker Pelosi has made herself look stupid.

This is the same woman who claimed the Catholic Church has been indecisive about it’s stance on abortion. This couldn’t be farther from the truth and she was chided by Archbishop Charles Chaput as well as other figureheads of the Church.

She also once said that if we utilized Natural Gas to a greater extent we wouldn’t have to rely on fossil fuels so much. News flash! Natural Gas IS a fossil fuel!

The California Congress woman is a disgrace and an embarrassment. And now she has proven that SHE is un-american.

The solution is plain and simple to me; take away the entitlements (the free food, the free healthcare) that us law abiding citizens pay for  with our tax dollars. Take away the jobs that they obtain by accepting far less pay than us tax payers can afford.

So what about the farmers who need the cheap labor? Right?

Two words Chain Gang: Our prisons are full of Free labor. I’m not talking about violent criminals I’m talking about drug users, petty thieves, and white collar criminals. Imagine the feeling of vindication felt from seeing Bernard Madoff picking fruits and veggies is some farmers field for free.

Of course if Pelosi and the Democrats have their way we’ll see an amnesty bill giving all illegal aliens a free ride to citizenship and I’m sure they’ll get to keep the entitlements too. It is my understanding that very recently The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) has had it’s first face-to-face meeting with President Obama. I’m sure that’s what they discussed.

AIG Bonus Outrage Uncovered

What irritates me the most about AIG bonuses? The fact that The President and the Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner new about this long ago and said nothing until it was 1) to late to stop them and 2)the public found out about it. Now it’s an outrage. When President Obama and his staff discovered that the public had been informed of the bonus pay outs and of their out right disgust of it. Now its an outrage.

I was under the impression that AIG was engaging in something illegal or on the fringe of the law, as you may have read in my last post here at cracked world. This is what the White House people are leading every one to believe. They want us all to believe that this is some sort of shocking revelation, an epiphany, an underhanded trick by a bail out recipient. But this is not the case, AIG disclosed its intentions for retention bonuses some time ago.

As told in The Mecury News

“AIG disclosed its retention-payment program more than a year ago, and the amount of the bonuses had been widely reported. But as the payments were coming due in recent days, the White House began to express its indignation”

Do I like the fact that AIG is handing out bonuses to, as Barney Frank put it, “reward failure?” Hell no! But this is not illegal by any means. It should be, but those all mighty infinitely wise people in Washington made it legal.

While the Senate was constructing the $787 billion stimulus last month, Dodd added an executive-compensation restriction to the bill. The provision, now called “the Dodd Amendment” by the Obama Administration provides an “exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009″

This opens the door for AIG to pay bonuses to top executives. Though Christopher Dodd denies adding the amendment to the Stimulus Bill he has little for an explanation of its origin.

“I can’t point a finger at someone who was responsible for putting those dates in,” Dodd told FOX. “I can tell you this much, when my language left the senate, it did not include it. When it came back, it

did.”

It’s a mystery, quick some one call Sherlock Holmes, Columbo  or even Scooby-Do, it’s a mystery! Oh by the way.

Separately, Sen. Dodd was AIG’s largest single recipient of campaign donations during the 2008 election cycle with $103,100, according to opensecrets.org. Also, one of AIG Financial Products’ largest offices is based in Connecticut.

Does this excuse what AIG is doing? Again, Hell No! At the very least they have a moral obligation to decline these bonuses. If these people had even the smallest conscience  they would refuse to accept the payment. I know I know its a million dollars; for some even more. But could you sleep at night after taking this money?

Now lets consider this. The $165 million bonuses total to less than 0.10th of 1% of the $170 billion the government gave AIG in bail out funds.  And the White House is supposed to outraged about this?

  • What about the earmarks they fed into the $787 billion Stimulus bill?
  • What about the 8500+ earmarks in the $555 billion omnibus?
  • How much of those bills did earmarks make up?

I’m sure it’s far more than $165million, yet the Obama team justifies ti by saying its an insignificant amount of the total bill itself in both cases. How are earmarks any different from AIG retention bonuses, they are both inserted so a politician can “buy” their constituents.

Is Washington Ready to Bail on the Bailouts?

The top lawmakers in Washington are furious with Insurance Giant AIG after hearing the news that they intend to pay out bonuses to it’s top executives that total $170 million. The troubled company has received over $165 billion in bailout funds since congress chose to take action last fall.

I realize that the federal government can not tell any corporation how much to pay it’s workers on any level, but once they accept federal tax dollars to stay afloat all bets should be off. This is absurd!

I am sure that in the next few days we will hear things like $170 million is a small fraction of the $165 billion the government gave them; or their salaries are actually very small and they depend on these bonuses for the bulk of their income. In fact we’re already hearing that they already had bonuses in contracts for these executives and they can’t get out of the contracts.

Foxnews is reporting just that:

A white paper prepared by the company says that AIG is contractually obligated to pay a total of about $165 million of previously awarded “retention pay” to employees in this unit by Sunday, March 15. The document says that another $55 million in retention pay has already been distributed to about 400 AIG Financial Products employees.

The company says in the paper it will work to reduce the amounts paid for 2009 and believes it can trim those payments by at least 30 percent. AIG also pledged to Geithner that it would restructure $9.6 million in bonuses scheduled to go a group that covers the top 50 executives. Liddy and six other executives have agreed to forgo bonuses. The group of top executives getting bonuses will receive half of the $9.6 million now, with the average payment around $112,000.

AIG would have no problems reducing future compensations to these people if they simply fired them. Lets face it AIG lost $62 billion in the final quarter of 2008 alone, would you still have a job if you produced the worst performance record in history? I know I wouldn’t and that’s exactly what this is; the worse loss in History.

“I call upon the executives at AIG to right the wrong they have done to American taxpayers, who are footing the bill for the most expensive government rescue in history. They should renounce the bonuses and refuse the excessive retention pay they previously agreed to,” Pelosi said.

How do these people sleep at night knowing what they have single handedly done to the economy? This is pretty much what started the downfall isn’t it?

We are all watching our retirement funds get smaller and smaller while these greedy Insurance guys run to the bank with their bonuses. The way I see it we own that company now and I want these people to hit the bricks, clean out their desks and get out!

AIG Chairman Edward Liddy sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner who Blasted AIG on Foxnews Sunday.

CNN explained the letter in a nutshell:

In the letter to Geithner, Liddy said the unit’s 25 highest-paid contract employees will reduce their salaries to $1 this year and all other officers in the unit will reduce their salaries by 10 percent. Other “non-cash compensation” will be reduced or eliminated. But he told Geithner that some bonus payments are binding legal obligations of the company, and “there are serious legal, as well as business consequences for not paying.”

Accepting tax payers money from the United States Government isn’t binding enough? Oh wait I forgot us tax payers aren’t important enough to worry about are we.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi put pen to paper calling the bonuses “unconscionable”  the statement read: “I call upon the executives at AIG to right the wrong they have done to American taxpayers, who are footing the bill for the most expensive government rescue in history. They should renounce the bonuses and refuse the excessive retention pay they previously agreed to.”

Its a Cracked World when I agree with Nancy Pelosi. Please Help Me!
